About This Course

Course Description

A carefully designed product is something that inspires confidence, excites consumers and communicates the best of what is intended.  As the resident set designer at Florida A&M University Ruben Arana has dealt with design and education for more than 15 years.  Designing posters, books, cd, plays, film, and video, Ruben has a variety of experiences with design.  A design done right will be something that connects wonderfully with all who interact with it.

In this course, you will get a look at the design principles that apply to anything that is designed and the process that is part of every design.  Ruben will walk you through each step of the process and give feedback to work that gets turned in.  Along with learning what to do Ruben gives examples of what things to avoid.

What also sets this course apart is the spiritual perspective and the personal design of the individual.  God plays a big part in the source of design and creativity, so acknowledging the spirit in design is a must.  Whether you are a just beginning or are pretty savvy around design, this course is a great course in that will make your designs so much more powerful.
